How to be “that girl”

The trend that everyone wants to be

If you don’t already know, being “that” girl is one of the biggest trends this year. It is seen everywhere: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest. Being “that girl” is the idea of being a perfect girl who has everything together in her life, whether it is related to lifestyle or studies. This trend can turn into toxicity very easily, if interpreted wrong. Many girls see it as if they have to completely change into this different person, when that is not the case. It is about contributing to your own life every single day, to create the best version of yourself.

Step 1:

Believing that you can actually have the life you want to.

You there reading this right now, not matter what your situation is right now, you can make it happen. You can have a life you always dreamed of. Get a visual of what you want your life to look like. Make a vision board on what you want your life to look like in the next 1-5 years. what are the things that mean most to you and what do you enjoy the most? Once you have a plan, you need to make yourself believe you can do this.

STEP 2:

Teach yourself how to be disciplined

If you cant discipline yourself, it is really hard to become the person you want to be. This is not something which you can change overnight. It takes time and practise. Start with something small like making your bed every-single morning. It really is about training that muscle! Once you train your brain to do it, it will turn into a habit.

STEP 3:

Create your dream environment.

Try to make the best of what you have, as that it your only option. Don’t moan about something you don’t have, rather make your space into your dream space. Make your environment as peaceful as you need it to be. If your space is cluttered, you can be cluttered. Look at your space you are in and ask yourself how you can create the most peaceful and inspiring environment. Creating an environment where you can be the best version of yourself and where you can thrive the most is really important.

STEP 4:

Create routines

Take time to yourself and get into the habit of having some sort of routine. An example of this can be a morning or night routine which you can always stick to. Create something a routine with key elements which will help you elevate yourself and will help you grow, and most importantly something that will make you feel good in the inside.

STEP 5:

Get out of your own way

Sometimes you may be in a situation you want to get out of but you think you cant. Let me tell you otherwise: there is always another way. If it is leaving a job, leaving a partner, moving on, or whatever it is that you have to do – you can do it! This is the respect you should give to yourself to leave a situation that makes you feel unhappy. It can be dangerous if you allow yourself to stay there, as you could be stuck in that position for years. You have to be able to realise when enough is enough. If something is making you feel slightly uncomfortable or unsafe, knowing when to step away and allowing yourself to say you want to leave is a power move.

STEP 6:

Live life through your own experiences

Stop caring about what other people are doing, what they are thinking. Stop trying to show off and living for other people, stop trying to appear another way. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do because it is your life. Do not live for anybody else. Do things that truly make yourself happy and things that align with you. Truly live.

STEP 7:

It is okay to be alone

If you are scared to be alone, you could be running from something internally, running from thinking or even running away from yourself. If you feel like you can never be alone, there is something inside that is causing that feeling and there is time to address it. Get to know yourself. If you don’t know who you are, people can easily walk all over you, they can manipulate you and they will use it to their benefit. Through the journey of becoming “that girl”, you will get to know yourself, and watch your confidence grow, watch yourself being able to say no and watch your discipline grow. It will happen, all you have to do is believe in it.

After-all how can you be that girl if you don’t believe in yourself?

To our better version,
