Namaskaram,
It’s that time of the year again, the year is nearly over, the end of the road, when people probably are thinking what they’ve achieved in life, goals or habits or even how they wasted 10 months and have 2 months left to make a change to say they’ve achieved something.
Motivation is just taking the first step, something very important to achieve something and to keep the spark of what you’re doing up. There will be ups and downs but that is just a cycle which is bound to change as long as you stay positive even in your dark times for happy things to happen 😉
I am an A level student and sometimes find it hard to find motivation to complete my tasks and my revision. I just didn’t want to do my work! One day I woke up and just thought I need to change a few things about my lifestyle. I started cleaning up my room and trust me, being in a clean environment will give you some motivation to work. Study like there’s no tomorrow because if you keep putting off your studies for tomorrow, you’ll probably be too late.
If you’re struggling to find motivation, just getting excited about something is enough to get started. Focusing on something you want to achieve or what you enjoy about doing something instead of worrying how to get to your goal. If you don’t get something right in the first go don’t worry, learn to love the process, and don’t let your happiness be so dependent on the outcome. Be passionate about the actual things you do, do them because you love it, and you’ll stick with it. The great things that result will be a natural by-product.
Forget about failures because they’re in the past and don’t let any obstacles stand in your way. If you’re lazy like me and want to put least effort in finding motivation, tell yourself positive things, avoid your negative thoughts and keep it happy. Once you get started, take that first step, the rest is easy. And smiling makes it enjoyable.
“First steps come with ups and downs, change the spark with a cleaner environment, find revision you enjoy by learning to love the process whilst forgetting about the failures.”
Take it one step at a time 😉
Love,
